There are moments in our lives that are too fleeting and we want to hold onto them forever. We want to feel how we felt. We want to be able to step back in time. Your wedding will be filled with these moments. With a live wedding painting, you will be able to experience them all over again every time you look at it.
With my paintings I aim to capture the love and energy between you whether I paint live at your wedding or from a picture afterwards. I want you to feel something when you look at it. Every little mark in paint will be purposefully made with care and skill, with a deep respect for the significance of the day.
The finished painting becomes a memory made tangible. A lasting reminder of the intimacy, beauty and love that filled your celebration.

LINEN
CANVAS
It starts with the canvas. Canvas has been used for centuries by painters. I use linen over cotton because it has longer fibers that also retain their oil, helping to retain flexibility and stops the canvas from becoming brittle or sagging. The layout of the weave is also softer and more luxurious than cotton. So it is a smoother finish that is less prone to spotty glare. It’s still regarded as the gold standard by classically trained artists.
How the process works

Consultation
We will have an online consultation to talk about what you would like for your painting. We will talk through your ideas for what you want your wedding to look and feel like, to get a real idea of what composition and feel of the painting you would like.

Studio
After your wedding is finished, your painting won't be fully ready for you. I will take it home to my studio and work on it to make sure it is up to standard. I will send you a picture when it is finished to make sure you like it :)
It will stay in my studio until it is dry. This could take up to a couple months to be safe to deliver.
2.
Wedding day
I will arrive early to set up an area in the reception of your wedding. Depending on what moment you chose for your painting, I will take a photo of you (there are many ways of doing this and we will talk that through in the consultation),
Then you and your guests can watch as the painting unfolds, adding some gentle yet exciting entertainment. Everyone is more than welcome to chat with me about what I'm doing and take any videos or pictures.
4.
Delivery
After your painting is dry, it's time to deliver. If you are in a 40 mile radius from Newmarket, I will hand deliver your painting. If not, You will get tracked delivery. Then you can enjoy your painting for the rest of your lives.

I offer Both live wedding paintings and post wedding paintings. Post wedding paintings could be straight after your wedding, for an anniversary, or perhaps a gift to an older relative of a wedding that happened in years past.
